About Me

My name is Eric Horton and I am a basketball coach. I have coached basketball now for about 15 years now. I have coached at the biddy ball level from 3rd to 6th graders all the way up to a varsity high school basketball coach. I have spent 10 years as a varsity assistant, 6 years as a JV coach and 2 years as a varsity head coach. I have over 100 total wins as a head coach with about a 65% win percentage. I have been successful from jr high to JV to varsity head coach. I have coached or coached against players that were able to continue playing after school everything from NAIA to NCAA Division 3 and 2 and even at a Power 5 major Division 1 school. I have seen a lot and been able to talk to and coach with and against some very successful coaches during my time as a coach. I am now wanting to create a space to share some of my thoughts and philosophies on the game of basketball and hopefully put some information on this website to help you as a player or coach or parent.
