Philly's Magee is NCAA Division II's all-time winningest coach
Philadelphia University coach Herb Magee won his 829th game to pass Clarence "Bighouse" Gaines, formerly of Winston-Salem State, as Division II's all-time winningest coach. But win number 829 was not a gimme, even though Wilmington College entered the history making night with an 0-20 record. The game was close the whole way and Wilmington tied it up at 53-all with a shot with 20 seconds remaining. In overtime Philadelphia took control of the game and won it 65-60. Here is a Roundball Coach audio story on Magee's 829th victory with play-by-play highlights and an interview with Magee courtesy of Philadelphia University and Red Zone Media. Audio Newspaper Story
